The Scornful Distances. . .
Is it the size of earth increasing?! People all around seem
to be just travelling and travelling to eternity- no public transport seem to
be running less crowded then the Metro’s.
What’s the rush and where is the exploding population
running towards...being just a clueless observer, seem like closer the people
stand farther they are becoming from each other.
The houses all empty with lonesome elders seeking changes to
creep into the lives like they always wished to be dependent on the ones who
were ones dependent on them for tiniest of wish and yet happy to boast about
them who are just heard from the tiny device called cell phone- advancing
towards showing the grinning faces too...and ones a year with baggage of work
overhead they visit to meet in person too....
In midst of the chaos of settling lives, making new friends,
meeting the high rising goals, the hunt for the gold, family, children, savings, other such lustful desires and also the sufferings there too- the politics, rat race, comparisons and inhumanly expectations- the distances keep inflating into the un-burst-able
balloon. The realism is all washed off into the sea of virtual world- each time
a new invention is done to curb the distance, each time that bubble of distance
grows bigger- that fills in it the unfelt emotions and paving ways to march towards
being the robots of future (and robots being the humans).
At
one or the other end there is someone or both fighting the tsunami of
lonesomeness, suffering and postponing the acknowledgement of the feelings etched
in hearts- it’s not easy to read the shaky voices and teary eyes over the phone
which are always camouflaged with smiles or as easy as saying- ‘’hey, am busy,
let’s talk later’’, and that later part don’t arrive or just till then there
are new things accumulated and in those minimal visits over the year. And then
we wonder why the reason behind the peculiar malfunctioning of body is stress,
tension, depression- the germs of whose are born when the attachments wither,
closing of the air vents of heart and brains with overflow of thoughts kept
unshared.
Is this
how one is made independent, free and rich? I feel it rising towards an incurable
poverty- losing the sense of empathy, the burning fire far away is all seen as
a lightening, the storm passing by seem as a gush of wind- the distances
literally do that- even the science says the objects farther appears smaller in
size- how aptly that suffices into the real lives too...even the ‘closest’ of
relations lose the sheen, no- not about lovers (though it happens the worst in
that when the time becomes the most expensive commodity)- the family- that’s
all into fragments flowing in midst the air of formalism and awaiting till eternity
for the perfect moment to bring in the change, and that old friend who was the
stress-buster in the dreadful college times is just a fading face- who one day
pass by and you wonder-‘I have seen that person somewhere’. . . .
There’s
nothing like custom made in life- it’s all ‘by default’ and by the time the
solution is realized it’s all passed off. . . .changing each one around, wondering- 'is he/she really my father/ brother/ mother/ sister/ lover...?"
we never realize that there are no bonds so strong as those which are formed by suffering together...the tough days are the sweetest when looked back...
we never realize that there are no bonds so strong as those which are formed by suffering together...the tough days are the sweetest when looked back...
just with a handful of moments to look back from the life that moved fast. . . . . miss the lost ones and count the blessings. . . .
Soo true... no matter how the scornful distances may be ..Just wanna say here again!
ReplyDeleteI am always here for you..my dear..
Just give me a shout and you'll found me near...
Indeed life is more about finding sweetness in everything around, even tough days... :)
ReplyDelete...yeah...but also it will be better to practice that same thought when the tough times actually accumulate the mind and lots of worries we see...
ReplyDelete~~~
